Publication: Monthly, although occasionally, additional issues are added so that 2 issues may be published in one month. Dates may vary according to such factors as holiday promotions, e.g. Canada Day, Christmas, Thanksgiving, Elections, etc. Usually the end of the month preceding date of issue, or early in that month.
Advertising Deadlines: Generally around the beginning or middle of each month. Please check with us.
Distribution: Distribution is to apartments, townhouses, condos and co-ops only. It is done by adult professional distributors, headed by Mr. Brandt Carter, who has worked with us since l980. 80% of the buildings are done door to door. Copies are folded up, under the door handle, so that when the resident walks in he/she automatically picks up the copy, which falls to the floor as the door is opened. If there is a mail slot it is used. Since distribution is so critical to success of the newspaper, Mr. Carter follows up personally if any problem occurs.
Some of the more exclusive condos prefer to take the copies themselves and distribute them, in that case a bundle is given to Management. When all else fails we do drop copies in mail rooms, but only a modest number. We prefer not to waste copies and people generally pick up when there seems to be only a few.
We also cover local businesses, libraries, community centres, and churches.
